Thomas Jefferson is the greatest American because; he was one of the best presidents! He was the one who made the Louisiana Purchase,and invented many everyday things such as, the folding campstool, the folding ladder, the music stand, the portable writing desk, the revovling chair, the cipher wheel for cryptograpghy, moldboard plow, the hemp-beaker for threshing machines, and the improved carding machine.

Did you know that he was one of the brilliant men who helped create The Declaration of Independence in 1774? Well he was and he did a great job, look where we are today! If it wasn't for him and his pals we could still be a part of Great Britian. His job was to write the draft.
